The Reaston Hill farm
The home of the Reaston Hill fold (herd) of pedigree Highland cattle is in the picturesque village of Slaley, just south of Hexham in Northumberland. The fold (or herd) was established in 1999 by James Wilson as a hobby that has since developed into selling breeding females, showing prize winning cattle, and now the production of our very own beef.

A Show winner
Both myself (James) and my partner Pippa have an upland farming background, with the land at Reaston Hill having been in the family since the 18th century. We take great pride in our land and in the quality of our cattle, and aim to produce the very best beef.
The Reaston Hill fold are reared naturally on grass without the use of supplementary feeds, resulting in a high quality, slow maturing beef animal. With the bulk of our meat coming from the progeny of our own stock bull we can thus guarantee that our well-marbled beef is pure-bred, tender and full-flavoured.
